My dog, Katie-bug, died last week. She was sweet, beautiful, soft and warm. She was so happy, very dainty, and could leap, deer-like over small mountains in a single bound. She slept like a rock. When she was excited, she would wiggle into a curve so tight that she'd rest her chin on her rear. She was also, often, trouble. She was so loved, oft petted and will be missed. Thank you, momm and daddy for taking such good care of her for so long. But let's not get into it any more, cause I don't want to cry.
So then. What else? I've got some uncomfortable gas today. Wish there were something to blame it on, but there's been nothing odd about my diet lately. Hmmm - except for all that ice cream yesterday. Good ice cream, I tell you. This last weekend I made a chocolate cake with grand marnier in it and then made cream cheese frosting with grand marnier in it and the whole deal tasted LOVELY!
This next weekend is a 3-day weekend and then most of next week is holidays! Celebrate! I predict that there will be a good deal of merriment. And possibly very little journal updating - apologies from the management.
