It's been a pretty standard day. I found some Mandolin tablature online, so I can practice more. It's so much more fun to play songs I recognize. I got a beautiful embroidered strap this weekend and Jesse took a bit of photo shoot when I was practicing the other day. If I remember, I'll post up some pictures of me playing the mandolin (yay!).
My lesson today felt rather off. A bit disappointing as it's the first class I've had in two weeks. The students had end-of-the-year exams the last two weeks (hence no class) but the school year is not over for another 3 weeks, so these next few weeks of lessons can be fun and games. I had a good game today, one with a lot of speaking practice, but it was not so well received. These students never practice speaking English except when I'm in class (this is not an exaggeration), so this means, at best, one hour of speaking practice a week. I've only got one lesson left with todays class before the year ends and, once they become 3rd year students, I no longer teach them. I'd like the last lesson to be fun and encourage them to speak out. But that's next week.
Anyhoo, I suppose it's not terribly exciting to hear me ramble about feeling ill and teaching English. Soooo...I've been getting quite excited about the prospect of moving to Spain next year and I've been researching possible places to work. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says something about it being against the law in Spain to hire Americans so it should be a piece of cake to get a job, eh? I'm really not worried, though, because I'm networking. Whatever that means.
OK all, my day is nearly done. I leave you with this:

Me, slurping noodles. Ha! I can't look at this picture without giggling.
