I'm bored all the way through to my toes. So! Here're the pictures I promised you from our trip to the Sapporo snow festival.
1st we went to Hirosaki, a small city in our same ken (state). Here's Hirosaki castle and it's beautiful.

Then we came home for 2 hours and then picked up our companions and got on the overnight ferry to Sapporo. The ferry doesn't have seats, just these big, open rooms and you lay out on the floor. Crazy! Here we are. Jesse is on the left making a thermos of hot toddys, Mike is holding up ASSE chocolate, Jaya is holding up more snacks and Sunil is flung across the bed (floor). Missing from the picture but on the trip are Erica and Dahlia.

Now here is Sapporo and 1st I give you a replica of some building in Korea. It's made of snow! And there's a big brass band playing in front of it!

Here's another pretty building - it's made of snow!

Check this out. The second picture is the caption of the first

And here we have a replica of a building from Berlin (or Brussels) - it's made of ice! There's a rock band playing in front!

Also, here are Jesse and I out on valentines day.

Okay Dokay. I've got about another hour to kill here at work. Hmph. It's been snowing all-the-live-long-day again. I was told today that this winter has been unusually long and hard. Odd, because when we came it was unbearably hot and steamy and they said it was an unusually hot summer. Huh. Anyhoo, once I get on the subject of weather, we all know it's time to shuddup.
