We've been going to Karate pretty steadily. It's fun, but I've got an achy pain in my lower abdomen and am convinced I've got a hernia. When do you decide you're not crazy and a hypocondri-whatever? I guess I've decided to go to the doctor. Even if it's a pulled muscle and I'm silly, that'd be nice to know. Besides, I've got insurance, so hey! The Japanese government can pay for my neurosis.
It hasn't really snowed much the past week, so it's not pretty. Most of the snow has turned into ice and what hasn't is old and filthy.
Jesse and I'll be going to the snow festival up in Sapporo in a few weekends. It's supposed to be fantastic. We'll be going for 1 day. We take the night ferry from here Friday night, spend Saturday there and then take the night ferry back Sunday night. I hope it's fun and not just exhausting.
The old creepy birthday is coming up to. I think I'd rather skip it and stay 27. It's going to be an odd day as it is, because I'll teach all day and then have Japanese class that night. It's weird being here cause there's no super-special-thing I've been dying to do, that would be appropriate for a birthday. So I guess we'll take it easy. There aren't many people here that I feel terribly close to that I think would want to celebrate with me. I think if I could choose what I could do here it would be to have a nice night out with Jesse and then go back to a huge, warm bath and champagne.
Speaking of, I HATE our bathtub. The whole Japanese bath thing? It sucks. Yeah, it's deep. That's all. No room for 2, no room for legs stretching, no atmosphere WHAT-so-ever. So? No baths. It'd be one thing to take a bath alone if Jesse were out, but a bath alone when he's in the next room is just lonely.
Thing is, I do really love baths.
